Painting Green, One Painting at a Time.

I am an avid thrift store - garage sale - estate sale shopper.  I grew up going to garage sales and I love the thrill of the hunt and the thrill of a bargain.

I have been picking up ugly paintings recently with the idea that I will paint over them and recycle the canvas in that way.  How Green is that?

Here is a painting I had for sale for a few years and nobody bought it so - I decided that was a sign that it was OK to paint over it.

Gave her a little Colonel Sanders look just to get started.

Still working on this one - it will be fun to see how it turns out.
I took a photo of the original and put in on the back of the canvas just so someone can see what transpired.

I scored big at a thrift store today on some paintings to re-purpose.
This one will be fun to paint over.

I think she will be happier for it.
I think she could use a little happiness.

This lady  is lounging with a bowl of fruit.   I am thinking maybe she is a fruitarian? 

The guy at the thrift store pointed out that she reminded him of Richard Simmons.

I agree.
