I tried something different and it was quite fun. Think I will be making more of these!  I have been dreaming paintings and in my dream I saw some trees that were painted like a clove stuck in an orange. (it WAS a dream, ya know!) So I outlined some today...   Yeah. There was a castle in my dream too...

I was thinking about aboriginal or native designs and tried out some ideas.   It was fun to trace my hands with paint from the squirt bottle - and then when I added the lines inside - it reminded me of the power of touch. Fun to just try something totally different!  I have a galvanized metal wall and it is handy for hanging up art.  Still running with the aboriginal theme...  Not sure what I am doing here...
I have it taped off - so it will be two separate pieces when done. Trying using a dry brush technique to add layers and layers. I am interested to see what will happen. Right now - I am not overly fond of this yet...... I have been painting canvas that I staple to a piece of plywood and I work on them flat like that - as sometimes I am scratching and digging and just generally being mean to the canvas. So.... That leaves the problem of how to prepare all these paintings for selling. Most folks are not going to want a flat piece of canvas - no matter how wonderful. Today, we finally got a canvas stretched and gallery wrapped and now I am on the path to being able to market and sell my art.  So fun to see it finished and on a wall. Sunday is art club day and this is what I worked on today.
