Animal Farm

Birds.
I painted a lot of birds lately and it was time to branch out to another animal.
Cats.
These are mostly in progress....

This one is a cool cat named Aaron.

Cat in progress = CIP.

This one is meant to look like one of those ocelot kitty cats.

Jail-bird cat.

I got an iPad and oh, my!
It is amazing.
I am practicing for a still life project...

And practicing making cats too!

I needed a break from painting things that looked like things.
So I just decided to let loose and see what happens...

When I paint, I paint flat on a table with the canvas
un-stretched. I buy wood at the lumber yard and I take the paintings and wood to a friend's house and she does all that measuring and stretching for me. This is in her driveway and it is the first
look I get of how the
paintings will look on a wall and upright.
