I started paintings flowers just as a sort of "test' after the last series of paintings that were more urban and gritty and contained the "F-Word" in the titles.
So I thought, OK - I will paint some pretty flowers to offset the offensiveness of the "F" series.
Something in my head kept telling me that painting flowers is like Old-Lady painting.
Even though I know my flowers do not look like old lady paintings.
It kept bugging me.
But I am a persistent painter, if nothing else, and kept painting MORE flowers.
The more I paint the kinder I feel towards those flowers.
I think I am working my way through my own bias and now I am sorta liking flowers.
I admit, that I like the leaves a bit better than flowers - BUT I am still painting flowers.
All will be well.
