I have been thinking about painting a chair.

Found the right kind of chair at Goodwill.

Painted it darker at the bottom and faded lighter towards the top.

Worked on the reverse
 from the top.  
Darker red to lighter orange...

Had to take it outside to 
get better light.

Painting the cushion black.

This was the scary part.
I really like the background and this could really mess it up if I don't like what happens next...

This is the part where I have to really imagine what it may look like when I get the stripes put on!

Whew!    
I am gonna like this!

Now the black cushion is drying and I have to decide what to do with that....

Eww.

Very interesting.

Ahhh....
That's better.
A little more touch up tomorrow and it will be done.
Going to seal it up with a clear poly-acrylic and then it will be available to go to a new home.

Five coats of sealant on everything and this chair is done and available for sale! 

I painted the cushion on one side with some circles and dots.  
The other side is plain.
Something for everyone...

Then I thought I would put the cow by this barn that I took a photo of whilst driving yesterday.

You get the idea....

Yeah.   I like the shape.

I painted a cow field-like background over an older painting.

Made me a cow.
He looked sad and pensive and 
lonely.

Still looked sad and pensive and lonely - but with stripes and dots.

Added a couple of cows in the background to alleviate the loneliness.

Goodbye pensive and sad face.

So now the cow has a sorta shy look and a "Hey!  Look at me!   I can be your friend!" look.   
Well, that's how is appears to me...

I bought 5 paintings at Goodwill.  Looks like they were all painted by the same person.
For me - good price on canvas!

 I blocked out big chunky shapes and dripped black paint over the chunks.

I got a styrofoam meat tray and carved some simple geometric patterns in it and used the same colors as the chunky blocks and started stamping.

Made for a cool mid-century looking background.

I did say that I was working on 
5 at a time?

Black lines for everybody!

White stripes and the red loopty-loops!

Give them loopy-loops some stripes too!

Black Circles!

Finishing touches on all the black circles - photo-shopped black frames to show them off an now they are for sale in my Etsy Store!
