Kathy had painted a canvas floor cloth before and we scrounged up canvas and paint and have gone from there.
This is my second floor cloth that I am working on. I like painting so much that I paint both sides of them.
This one is gonna be fun!
Some friends and I decided we needed more "art" in our lives last year - so after the first of the year, we started an informal Art Club and we meet every Sunday afternoon in Kathy's basement and make art. Kathy had painted a canvas floor cloth before and we scrounged up canvas and paint and have gone from there. I had never painted before and have found that I really like it. Really-Really LIKE it. This is my second floor cloth that I am working on. I like painting so much that I paint both sides of them. I have an idea for this funky 50's table that is not in good condition and will post pics later of the completed project. This one is gonna be fun!

I set up a studio to paint in at my office. Doesn't that sound so professional? Well, actually, my office is an 1875 Victorian House, so the "studio" is what used to be the dining room. Here is the "Richard Simmons" painting that I bought at Goodwill with the intention of painting over it. I now have the space to work on a few paintings at a time. Richard has left the building... I found a vending machine at a thrift store and bought it cause it was a good price. I was not sure exactly what I was going to do with it.... Now I know. I am making an ART vending machine! It was difficult to figure out what kind of art I could make and sell for the pre-set price of 25¢.
I did figure it out though.... I painted the backside of a sheet of magnet paper. Then chopped it into small pieces to put into the capsules. I also put a fortune cookie sized paper with the name of this website in the capsule. I won't exactly get rich from this - but just famous would be OK with me. :) |
I post on Facebook and Instagram all the time about what I am working on. Click on the BLUE links and check it out!
