I took some art to Hubbub - a cool shop/gallery in Centralia, Washington

Rebecca, the owner bought a Victorian era building downtown and transformed it into her shop and living space, and as if THAT is not cool enough..... she bought the parking lot next door and turned it into a Sculpture Art Park.

Her store anniversary is in November and she asked me if I would be interested in making a painting for her postcard to announce her anniversary.
Sure!
Then I wondered what on earth I could paint that would "look" like her place in my own style.
It is a challenge for me to paint something that looks like something.
I am great at making stuff up that I see in MY imagination!
That is easy!
I was a little daunted - but thought I would give it a go.

White sculpture painted with a

Tall black sculpture and some concrete "tables."
I did it!
I took a photo with my iPad and then "drew" the chair in several different ways until I found the one that worked for me.
Then I painted it on the canvas....
Odd and funky - but it looks just like her Art Park to me!
