I had a commission to do an outside piece of work to hang on a fence year-round.
It had to be 10 feet long and as luck would have it, I had 10 feet of 1970's commercial grade vinyl wallpaper.
I had used that wall paper for floor cloths, so I knew it would be durable if sealed well.

I bought a tarp and set it up in the driveway at my studio.
This photo is taken from the porch upstairs, looking down.

More layers of yellow and orange on top of the first...

Green Blocks added....

Black lines to outline the green boxes...

Red sentinel shapes...

Yep.   Coming right along....

Picture

Red dots in the green boxes and white stripes too!

I dipped my fingers in black paint and made artful flings of paint over everything and outlined the red sentinels in black using my squirt bottle.

Finished with the painting!
I painted 6 coats of a clear poly-acrylic on each side to seal it up and weather proof it.

Installed and it looks great!

Just between you and me, the backside was such a vast piece of emptiness, so I flung paint all over it too!   Did not charge for that.  That was just for my benefit.
