I was reading on the internet tubes about people painting on vinyl flooring.
I thought to myself, "Hey! I could do that!"
So I went to my local Habitat For Humanity Re-store Store and got some vinyl.
I painted an orange background on the vinyl.
As soon as it dries, I will paint several clear sealant coats on it and it will be ready for stepping on!
Six coats of clear sealant and.....
this art is made for walkin'
I finished up a canvas floor cloth.
Well.
Actually two.
I painted both sides.
I decided to put it in front of my kitchen sink.
For now...
I trimmed the rug and decided to use the
trimmings....
To make some bracelets!
Some friends and I decided we needed more "art" in our lives last year - so after the first of the year, we started an informal Art Club and we meet every Sunday afternoon in Kathy's basement and make art.
Kathy had painted a canvas floor cloth before and we scrounged up canvas and paint and have gone from there.
I had never painted before and have found that I really like it. Really-Really LIKE it.
This is my second floor cloth that I am working on. I like painting so much that I paint both sides of them.
I have an idea for this funky 50's table that is not in good condition and will post pics later of the completed project.
This one is gonna be fun!
